Conver is Europe’s leading manufacturer of specialist mowing boats setting the standard in this sector for more than 50 years. Due to further expansion of its activities coupled with exciting future growth plans Conver is seeking a dedicated Sales Manager to develop and grow its business interests within The Netherlands and Overseas.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to uphold and expand Conver’s market-leading position within the Dutch market while fostering new partnerships in overseas territories. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop a new distribution network, extending the company's reach in the specialist maritime mowing machinery sector.

The position will be based within the territory, with a requirement for regular presence at our Giessen headquarters. Additionally, up to 30% overseas travel will be required to support business growth within designated regions.

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Establish and strengthen a global distribution network, leveraging existing high-performing contacts or building new relationships where necessary.
  • Engage with Waterways, Municipal, Governmental, and other key agencies to drive business development.
  • Conduct confident and professional demonstrations of Specialist Maritime Mowing Machinery.
  • Deliver compelling presentations on key technical features and benefits of the product range.
  • Facilitate communication between key customers and internal departments, including Marketing, Service, Parts, and Engineering.
  • Develop and maintain clear sales forecasts and strategic plans for key markets to support higher-level company decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials, including brochures, data sheets, website content, and other promotional resources.
  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities, including product and market development initiatives.
  • Manage high-value transactions, typically exceeding €150K per deal.
  • Oversee business operations initially generating €5 million in turnover, with a goal to expand this to over €10 million within three years.

Knowledge, skills and experience: 

  • Sales target driven;
  • A minimum of five years’ experience selling Specialist Maritime Mowing Machinery within the European market;
  • Possesses sound knowledge of the Kommunal Machinery Sector in Central Europe;
  • Must have some technical experience and be capable of in-field problem solving where necessary;
  • Linguistic skills, including English and German, are advantageous;
  • Ideally located in The Netherlands;
  • Capable of working remotely with the support of an office-based team of supporting staff and departments;
  • You have an affinity with sustainable technology and innovations;
  • You are customer-oriented, results-oriented, and a strong networker;
  • You have experience with international sales and are willing to travel.
