Your role as a Welder
As a Welder, you play an important role in the production process of our machines. Working from technical drawings, you independently assemble and weld components and constructions before straightening and finishing them.
You will primarily use MIG/MAG welding techniques and, depending on the workpiece, TIG welding or electrode welding. Quality is key: you inspect your own work and ensure that the finished product meets our technical specifications and quality standards.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Independently assemble and weld components and constructions according to work orders, technical drawings and applicable safety regulations.
- Weld, straighten and finish assembled components and constructions.
- Work with various welding techniques, including MIG/MAG and, where required, TIG or electrode welding.
- Check dimensions and weld quality and independently carry out corrections where necessary.
- Safely move finished materials to the next workstation in the production process using the appropriate internal transport equipment.
Knowledge and skills
✅ A completed MBO qualification at a minimum of level 2 in welding, production engineering, all-round production engineering or a comparable technical field.
✅ Technical insight and preferably experience with welding in a production or machinery manufacturing environment.
✅ Experience reading and working from technical drawings.
✅ Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding; additional knowledge of TIG welding is an advantage.
✅ A valid forklift certificate or willingness to obtain one; a Safe Lifting certificate is an advantage.
✅ An accurate, quality-focused and results-oriented approach to work.
✅ Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different production departments.
✅ Good command of either Dutch or English.
