Purchaser – Middelburg

Are you a sharp negotiator with an eye for quality and efficiency? At Alamo Group The Netherlands, you’ll have the opportunity as a Purchaser to play a key role in procuring technical materials and components within an internationally operating company. 

Your role as Purchaser

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for sourcing technical materials and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You monitor lead times and buffer stock, keep procurement administration accurate, and carry out annual supplier evaluations. You also analyze order units and batch sizes, perform risk analyses, and drive continuous process improvements.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Select and contract suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Monitor lead times and inventory levels to ensure smooth production.
• Manage both structural and ad-hoc outsourcing.
• Prepare purchasing analyses and optimize ordering processes.
• Negotiate prices and contract terms to achieve the best value for money.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Ensure accurate administration and supplier evaluations.

Your profile

• MBO level 4 or HBO degree in procurement or related field; NEVI 1 and 2 preferred.
• Experience as a Purchaser in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Excellent command of Dutch, English, and German.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on value for money.
• Accurate, analytical, and proactive working style.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Strong communication skills; able to collaborate with various stakeholders.
