Recruitment Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice describes how Alamo Group the Netherlands (hereafter referred to as ‘AGTN’) collects and processes personal data about recruitment applicants. This notice also outlines how we protect your privacy and information rights.
For the purposes of UK & EU data protection laws, AGTN is the "data controller". This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you.
This notice informs recruitment applicants how we process your personal data, when you apply for a role or vacancy with AGTN. For the purposes of European data protection laws, AGTN is the data controller of recruitment applicant’s personal data.

Personal Data Processed
We may collect personal data regarding recruitment applicants including:
- Contact information (e.g., name, home address, phone numbers, email addresses);
- Demographic information (e.g., date of birth);
- Employment and education history (including employment history, qualification(s), and references); and
- Any other information which you disclose voluntarily as part of the application process.
Use of Recruitment Applicant Data
We use your personal data in order to fulfil our legal obligations and where AGTN has a legitimate interest, to consider you for a role or vacancy in line with our recruitment process. In the event that we make an offer of employment to you, we will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your information in the following circumstances:
- Where we need to take steps to enter a contract with you;
- Where we need to comply with a legal obligation (such as right to work, under statutory codes of practice);
- Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests.
In general, the purpose of collecting your personal data is to enable us to facilitate recruitment and enable us to determine your suitability for the role.
Disclosure to Third Parties
We may disclose some of your personal data to Alamo Group Inc. (Parent company of Alamo Group the Netherlands).
Transfer of Personal Data Outside the EU/EEA
We may transfer personal data to Alamo Group Inc. (the parent company for Alamo Group the Netherlands) which is located in the US, with appropriate safeguards (namely an Intra group transfer agreement). We will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of recruitment applicants’ personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Rights of Recruitment Applicants
Under EU data protection laws, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data, which includes:
- The right to be informed –the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data. This is communicated via the privacy notice, which is published via the AGTN website.
- The right of access –the right to access and receive a copy of their personal data and other supplementary information.
- The right to rectification –the right to have inaccurate data corrected, or completed if it is incomplete.
- The right to erasure – the right to have personal data erased – (also known as the right to be forgotten).
- The right to restrict processing –the right to request the restriction or suppress personal data, in certain instances.
- The right to data portability –the right to obtain a copy of your personal data in an electronic and machine-readable format.
- The right to object –the right to object to the processing of their personal data if it is for direct marketing purposes.

Security and Retention
AGTN takes steps to protect the recruitment applicants’ personal data against loss or theft, as well as from unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification, regardless of the format in which it is held.
AGTN retains personal data regarding unsuccessful recruitment applicants for a maximum of one year after last contact.
